Female Character Trope Fest 3: The Tropening -

fourteenacross:

Guys! It’s time for the third round of The Female Character Trope Fest as run by the ever-wonderful and brilliant such-heights! For those of you who’ve not come across this before, here is how she explains it:

Time Loops. Truth Serum. Tentacles. Fandom loves its tropes! But female characters don’t always get enough of a look in for the wacky fun of bodyswap and high school AUs, and that’s where this fest comes in.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to create a female character-centric fanwork that uses at least one fannish trope. (The term ‘female character’ should be understood to include all characters that canonically identify as or present as women or girls some or all of the time.)

Sounds good, right? Everyone loves tropes! Everyone loves ladies! Thus, everyone should agree that more ladies + tropes is awesome!

New this year, m/f and gen fanworks are being accepted in addition to f/f, as long as the focus is on the female character. (ie: Vera and Marco handcuffed together and working (and sniping) equally to get unlocked is good! Raven watching Erik deal with amnesia won’t work for this fest.) Also, lady-to-dude genderswap (ie: A lady dealing with being swapped into a dude) is also okay, but always-a-girl genderswap is not. The idea is to create more fanworks about canonical ladies, so the character should identify as a lady in both the canon and the fanwork.

Also good to know—art, photosets, gifs, tumblr graphics, etc are all welcome!

So, get on over to the Dreamwidth post for more info and to submit some prompts! :D

My prompts for Female Character Tropefest are descending into madness.
